Last Saturday, June 8th, I blew out the candles on a square piece of chocolate cake with peanut butter
frosting. It came from a store in Millinocket, where we also bought a six pack of Budweiser, a $2.99
can opener, and some food. Before this, I had decided to baptize my 28th year by getting in Roaring
Brook, an incredibly cold and aptly named stream that rips through the woods of central Maine, only
a couple hundred feet from our campsite. Despite the rain and the mid-50's temperature, it seemed
like a good way to turn 27. An incredible woman, my family, and several very good friends made the
end of 26 better than any months in recent memory. I don't know what this is, if it's a project or just
some photos from a period of time, but for now I'm thinking of it as my family album. Here's the end
of April up to present day. It's going to be a good year.
